Choral Essence Expands for “Side by Side” Concert

Group adds six new voices for new sound.

Clearwater, Florida, October 19, 2009

"Take 'em all on!", says Arthur Goetze, Director of Choral Essence, as Tampa Bay's 22 member vocal ensemble redefines itself with the addition of six new members in the “Side By Side” concert.  “We can expand our repertoire with the fuller sound demanded in some scores without compromising our delicate balance.  Now we're poised for both sensitivity and a bold vocal blend.”  The benefit concert, ''Side By Side”, describes the group's commitment to both community outreach and musical excellence.  The program includes updated familiar songs with a fresh approach to jazz, gospel, spiritual, pop and classical music.  Featured is a premier performance of Goetze's original work, “What a Lovely Day”.  Accompanist is Tampa Bay musician, Rita Rostron.  For information, videos and contact please see www.choralessence.com  Choral Essence will present “Side By Side” on Sunday, January 24, 3pm, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 2001 Rainbow Drive, Clearwater [One block north of Gulf to Bay off Hercules] to benefit Religious Community Service and on Sunday, January 31, 3pm at St. Matthias Lutheran Church,2751 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater to benefit Community Church Outreach.
